The Common Room
A little library in the corner with a sofa to read by the fire; a little kitchen to prep simple fare; and a table to sit together, surrounded by art. Unlike most galleries, this is a place to stay, and to live with the art.
Just as the plant and animal communities enrich the soil, art enriches the community made up of all who pass through this place. To that end, there is intentionally curated art throughout the entire guest house. It’s all a gallery. We do not show rooms guests have booked, but show the art in open rooms by appointment.
We invite our community to support the people who dedicate their lives to creating joy, questioning the ways the world works, exploring and expressing ideas, and honing their craft.
***Please remember that all of the art is made by real, living, working artists. We are moved by the generosity of those who fill our place with art. If it moves you, we strongly encourage you to purchase and take it home.***
Visitation by appointment. Write us at cedarnorthtc@gmail.com.

Artist Statement:
I am an inquisitive person to a place just this side of obsessive. My current direction has me on a quest to investigate the order and proportions found in nature. Trees are talking to me, telling me the most wonderful stories. Their personalities astound me.
Drawing and painting helps me know my subject better than any other way I know. Being in nature is always inspiring, and exploring what is available to us here in this corner of the world is magnificent. Every visit to the woods or the shore is an enlightening, moving experience.
